Donald Trump boasted he’d given a news program their most noteworthy evaluations since 9/11 in a meeting the previous evening.
He disclosed to White House journalist Julie Pace he could “double, triple” a Sunday morning TV show’s evaluations by showing up.
The President gloated that one appearance on Face the Nation, the Sunday morning political show on US arrange CBS , had drawn 5.2million watchers.
He said: “It’s the highest for “Face the Nation” or as I call it, “Deface the Nation.” It’s the highest for “Deface the Nation” since the World Trade Centre. Since the World Trade Centre came down.”
And he described his ability to attract TV viewers was a “tremendous advantage.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Trump claimed never to have supported Wikileaks.
He said: “When Wikileaks came out … never heard of Wikileaks, never heard of it. When Wikileaks came out, all I was just saying is, “Well, look at all this information here, this is pretty good stuff.”
