Innocent Pennsylvania man freed after spending 24 years in prison


An convicted murderer was declared innocent and set free this week subsequent to spending over two decades in a Pennsylvania jail.

Shaurn Thomas, 43, was discharged from the State Correctional Institution in Frackville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday evening in the wake of being imprisoned for a long time for a murder he didn’t confer, his lawyers said.

Thomas was sentenced to life in jail for the killing of Domingo Martinez, a Philadelphia businessperson who was shot in 1990 while attempting to money $25,000 check, as per news reports covering the executing.
